EMERGENCY DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

I. Briefly state major issue #1 – ex. A central communications system needs to be established to coordinate an effective county-wide approach to a disaster affecting the Island, i.e. hurricane, chemical explosion (you get the idea). Or, a written protocol for Continuity of Operations Plan/Continuity of Government Plans needs to be in place by etc.

A. Status – again briefly stated or bulleted

1. What is already in place

2. What is still missing

B. Implications – briefly list what can be accomplished with what is

in place, but highlight potential problems because of what is not in

place (ex. State funds are contingent upon a completed COP)

C. Recommendations – brief statement of what is currently being done to address problems, then:

1. Suggested actions for County Commissioners and/or PHC

II. Major issue #2 and so on.
